The AI Literary Review is open for submissions until September 23.

Submission guidelines

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • We are interested in poems that use AI technology in novel ways, and that merge human intention with digital automation. We're looking for poems written by humans using AI as a creative tool.
  • Poems must be at least partially generated with AI, or adapted from AI-generated material.
  • For a clearer idea of the kind of thing we publish, check out our previous issues.

HOW TO SUBMIT

  • Submissions should be emailed to the editor at ailiteraryreview[at]gmail[dot]com.
  • Send up to 3 unpublished poems in a single Word document, along with a brief author bio.
  • All AI programmes used to inspire, generate, edit, glitch, or otherwise develop your poems must be named. A very brief, 3rd-person description of how AI was used in your work must be provided for each poem.
  • Poems should not exceed 50 lines in length.
  • We allow for simultaneous submissions - just notify us if your poems are accepted elsewhere.

THINGS TO NOTE

  • Poems should avoid plagiarising any material, and all submissions will be checked for the reproduction of others' work. Given the nature of generative AI, we realise that accidental plaigarism may occur, and suggest you check your own work before submitting, and rework your text as substantially as necessary. Furthermore, the more human intervention there in on your AI-generated text, the less likely accidental plaigarism is to occur.
  • The editor will respond to each submission within one week of the submission window closing.
  • Submissions containing hate speech will be automatically rejected.
  • Submissions received outside of submission windows will be automatically discarded.

Thank you for reading these guidelines – we look forward to seeing your work!
